Our dad unexpectedly passed away last year, leaving my mother, who suffers from Parkinson’s, alone with an uncertain future. We were not sure how to proceed or who to turn to. It was a stressful time. After a bit of research, we decided to try the services provided by United Respite Care. Mom was very resistant at first to having strangers come into her home. But the caregivers from United Respite Care were so warm, genuine, thoughtful and alert to her special needs, they soon gained mom’s trust. Our family is very grateful for the continued level of excellent homecare services our mother receives on a daily basis. Thank you. Highly recommend.
We are very pleased with the service. The caregivers are most attentive to our needs and they are punctual. They provide overnight service so thankfully we can sleep peacefully. The director is very knowledgeable, personable, and suggested specific exercises, and appropriate furniture to make my mother more comfortable. The staff are nice and good at their job.
I am very happy with the thoughtful and timely care I received from you and your team. Both women were exceptional in their own way. Sum was friendly and efficient, I only had to tell her how to do something once. If I wanted to chat for a while, we’d have nice conversations. And if I just wanted to relax before trying to sleep she sat quietly. If I woke during the night, she was right there to see if I needed something, I really enjoyed the time we had together. The other young lady was very efficient and ready to see if I needed something. I had a low O2 one time, so we upped my level until my O2 was better. She was quick to check it regularly. If I move around in bed during the night, she was right there to see if I needed anything and of course check my O2 if I was awake. She was not quite as talkative as Sum, but a joy to have around and it didn’t feel strange having another new person in the house. Normally I’m a bit leery having strange people around, but they both fit in right away. I would highly recommend United Respite and the 2 women who looked after me through the night.
